Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Neighborhood Fox mobile application and website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Neighborhood Fox provides location-based safety scores, AI-powered neighborhood recommendations, city data, and live location sharing features. The Service is available through our mobile application and website.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate or incomplete information.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier: Basic access with limited daily searches is available at no cost.

Pro Subscriptions: Paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) unlock additional features including unlimited searches, AI recommendations, advanced safety data, and POI customization.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method through our payment processor, Stripe.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.

5. Safety Scores and Recommendations

Safety scores, neighborhood recommendations, and other data provided by the Service are for informational purposes only. They are generated from publicly available data and AI analysis, and should not be your sole basis for making decisions about where to live, work, or travel.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any safety scores or recommendations. Conditions in any location can change rapidly and may differ from what our data reflects.

6. Live Location Sharing

The live location sharing feature allows you to share your real-time location with contacts of your choosing via a temporary link. You are solely responsible for who you share your location with.

The location sharing feature is provided as a convenience and is not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, always contact 911 or your local emergency number.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Use safety data or location sharing features to stalk, harass, or harm others
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its data

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Neighborhood Fox and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that safety scores will be accurate or complete. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neighborhood Fox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on safety scores, recommendations, or location sharing features.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
